A Black Mermaid?
Ariel is a fictional character in Walt Disney Pictures' 28th animated film The Little Mermaid. They plan on releasing it as a movie on July 9th, 2021, and pick a gem of an actress to now play the famous Ariel.
Her name is Halle Bailey, and she is super talented and will be the 1st Mermaid I ever seen played by a beautiful African-American woman. I actually came across her in the TV show GROWNISH and fell in love with the skills and personality.
Now my design was created before any of this occurred. The concepts came about when I finally realized that a lot of things did not represent the culture I was born into. So why not start with the mystical PISCES WOMAN...
